But now, the medical profession is increasingly changing its stance. First of all, it is absolutely true that lung cancer can and does result from smoking marijuana, and there is some evidence that, over time, memory loss and some brain damage may occur as well. Once a certain level of concentration is reached in the bloodstream, it alleviates chronic pain from arthritis, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis and cancer.
The bottom line is the second justification. Tax revenue is already increasing due to medical marijuana sales. During an economic slump, any fiscal help is appreciated. If marijuana is legalized in California altogether, it is estimated that the annual tax revenue would go from approximately $200 million to $1.5 billion. This will give rise to greater oversight and control of sales, much like liquor. However, this does not alter the fact that traditional drugs are still needed for pain relief. The varied types of Tramdol are still the first treatment for pain that ranges from moderate to intense. Yet at the extreme end of the spectrum, continuous drug use may become habit-forming, changing the debate. If treatment with drugs is required for a long period, which drug is most successful? Fourteen states currently allow people to choose marijuana instead of Tramadol, and Illinois may soon be the fifteenth state to allow this choice. Making it legal circumvents the criminal element and brings down prices. In addition, the quality of the product is guaranteed, but when purchased illegally, marijuana can be laced with a variety of unusual and sometimes dangerous substances. This is the true state of things, so it's useless to try to go back in time. At present, marijuana has been added to the available alternatives for pain relief in these states. Those who don't endorse its use can still rely on Tramadol and conventional medications on the market.
